On the occasion of World Graphic Day, a two day typography poster design educational workshop was held in Maziar-Royan University with presence of Mohammad Jamshidi and focusing on Nima Youshij`s poetries. (Pioneer of modern Persian poetry) on April 29th and 30th . Also an exhibition of posters designed by graphic students participated in this workshop was inaugurated on May 14 . in Art Faculty of Maziar University.
In this ceremony, three students of participants were introduced as the best and they won the prizes from Maryam Software Company. "The Types of Nima Youshij" animation which made by one of the students was presented then and the printed catalogue of the poster collections of this workshop was also shown. This workshop was sponsored by Maryam Software Company and VitrinRooz.com web site.
Divarkoob!
The exhibition contains the latest posters of young iranian graphic designers that is organised by Parisa Tashakori and Amirhosein Ghoochibeik. These posters have been exhibited before in Semnan and Shiraz universities (2 major cities of Iran) for students and people. We're planing also to held some other exhibitions from these posters in some other Iran's provinces and major cities after Tehran.

The title Divarkoob is derived from an old name that was used instead of "poster" in Iran in the last century. This name has been selected by the curators for the exhibition of 98 posters of 51 active Iranian graphic designers.

In response to the question that why again poster exhibition, they say: In Iran posters are obsolete more than other categories of graphic design and there isn't any public place to present them. Meanwhile every year Iranian graphic designers create lots of posters for competitions and exhibitions but most of them wouldn't accede to street where the main location to show them is. In this case we are trying to represent posters in different cities and we hope it can help to increase the knowledge of students and people in there.

Fortunately we could show three series of Divarkoob exhibitions in Semnan, Shiraz & Tehran in Vijeh Gallery and with the presence of Majid Abbasi up to July 2010. Whereupon this exhibition will be held in October and November in another two big cities such as Isfahan and Mashhad with some changes in its composition and also a workshop will have been managed by Saed Meshki, Parisa Tashakori and Amirhosein Ghoochibeik beside of Isfahan event.
